Inspection selector: find the station for your line

Three steps: your industry, the fault you need to catch, and the station that catches it. No sign-up and no scripts; every row links to the page that explains it.

Technical review: Frank GuoReviewed

Not sure? Describe the fault
// Short answer

Use the inspection selector in three steps: pick your industry, find the fault you need to catch in that industry’s table, and open the line solution next to it. Each line solution names the inspection application, the HIKROBOT device class it is usually built on and either an indicative installed budget or quotation inputs. If your fault is not listed, the fault list at the end points to the application page that explains the check.

Questions about choosing an inspection station

How do I choose a machine vision inspection system for my line?

Start from the fault you need to catch and where on the line it happens, not from the camera. Pick your industry above, find the fault, and open the line solution: it names the station, the HIKROBOT device class, the limits and either an indicative budget or quotation inputs. A sample test on your products then confirms it.

What is the difference between a vision sensor, a smart camera and a camera with a controller?

A vision sensor does one simple check from one view with built-in tools. A smart camera runs a full tool set, including deep learning, in the camera. A camera with a vision controller or PC handles several views, heavy processing and many products. The selector names the class each line solution usually needs.

My fault is not in the tables. What then?

Use the fault list above: it points to the inspection application that explains the check. If the fault is not there either, describe it in an assessment request with a few good and faulty samples, and we say whether a camera sees it reliably.

Are the budgets in the selector firm prices?

No. They are indicative installed budgets for a typical application, in rand excluding VAT. Every project involves custom requirements, so the firm price follows a sample test on your products.
